Kotsuno is a French painter born in 2000. It is during trips and visits to museums that his creative universe develops. First of all by establishing a new means of dialogue with the outside through drawing, its artistic fiber becomes clearer.  

This interest in creation and color led Kotsuno to painting, which in 2018 made it his favorite discipline. His canvases combine colors, lights and gaiety with bodies, landscapes or objects in order to obtain new and deceptively naive compositions.  

By telling stories through his paintings, Kotsuno targets our emotions, our memories to create a psychological impact and invite the viewer to appeasement and a feeling of déjà vu. The world takes the form of a dream full of colors and disproportion. A dream that stays at a distance from reality through the use of a personal graphic style: the use of dark circles. These black bands structure and anchor the painting in our dimension while imposing a break with our reality.
